Boat cleaning product alternatives that are non toxic have been around for years.
There are a number of things on your boat that can be
cleaned with things that are not toxic and harmful to the water environment.
Try some of these alternatives.
You can use hydrogen
peroxide instead of bleach. The release of oxygen in the peroxide is the
bleaching agent.
Baking soda or salt can be used as scouring powder. The
baking soda is a very soft abrasive.
Cream of Tartar:
2 tablespoons in a quart of hot water makes Aluminum Cleaner.
A paste of equal parts of lemon juice and salt makes a mildew remover.
Baking soda, lemon juice and vinegar have long time been
used for safe non-toxic cleaners. Sometimes old is better.
Also, Elbow Grease is a non-toxic cleaner and it is a free.
